Students from India, first-year students of the Faculty of Medicine, successfully completed their final project task on the history of Russia as part of the winter session. Out of ten students, five received an “excellent” grade.

Through presentations delivered in English, students spoke about famous historical figures including Ivan III, Peter the Great, Catherine II, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and other influential leaders who shaped Russian history.

Such academic activities are part of the broader student experience for those pursuing MBBS in Russia for Indian students, where international learners engage not only in medical studies but also in cultural and historical education. Many students choose English medium MBBS in Russia programs because they provide global exposure while maintaining academic quality.
 

“I admired how much Ivan III did to ensure that Russia won the fight against the Golden Horde, and I tried to convey my admiration,” said student Rishyak Pudhota.

After the presentations, the project defense continued in a “question and answer” format: in pairs, one student played the role of a journalist while the other answered questions related to their presentation topic.

"Earlier, we had only a remote idea about Russian history, but now we have learned a lot. It is very interesting, and I want to study the history of your country further. Russia and India are friends, so we must know more about each other,” said Kumar Khritik.

Today, ten more students from India will undergo a similar exam session.

Associate Professor of the Department of Humanities, Yulia Matafonova, commented that the students are preparing carefully and showing genuine interest in Russia, its culture, and history.
