As part of the educational practice: practice for obtaining primary professional skills and abilities of the pediatric profile, as well as communication skills in pediatrics, from June 25 to July 16, 2026, 1st year students of the Faculty of Pediatrics under the guidance of the assistant of the Department of Propaedeutics of Children's Diseases Dondokova Marina Batoevna conduct a number of events with patients and their legal representatives in medical organizations, providing assistance to the children's population of the Trans-Baikal Territory, the Republic of Buryatia and the Republic of Tyva.
The first stage of the students' work is to conduct research work on the proposed topics in pediatrics: "Prevention of acute intestinal infections in young children", "The influence of bad habits on various organs and systems of the body in children and adults", "The importance of breastfeeding in the formation of child health, ways to develop fine motor skills in children, the pros and cons of using gadgets in raising children", "Cartoons for children. Benefit or harm?", "The concept of a healthy lifestyle", "Basic principles of nutrition for preschool children", "Basic principles of nutrition for school-age children", "Organization of the regime for schoolchildren", "Requirements for the child's shoes. Consequences of incorrectly selected shoes", "Rules for working at the computer. Organization of the Schoolchild's Workplace", "Electronic Cigarettes and Their Harm", "Prevention of ARVI in Children. What parents need to know", "What is voluntary informed consent to treatment, by whom and how it is issued", "Care for a baby", "Pediculosis - prevention". A literary review of current information was carried out, demonstration materials were developed - brochures, information stands, reports and a multimedia presentation.
The next stage of the work was to conduct lectures, conversations, interactive games with patients and their legal representatives who are on inpatient treatment in various medical organizations for practical training of students of the ChSMA of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
Sanitary and educational work of students with children and parents helps to form healthy lifestyle habits from an early age. First-year students learn to explain important topics in a simple and accessible way to everyone at any age of childhood. This develops their communication skills and teaches them to be responsible for the health of patients.
