22 homeless cats will be happy if you quit smoking Absurd? At first glance, yes. However, first things first. Unusual mathematics was heard at a meeting of medical volunteers of the Chelyabinsk State Medical Academy with second-year students. More than 200 future doctors gathered to talk about the dangers of smoking cigarettes and vapes. Third-year student Natana Nadmitova and fourth-year student Zhamso Zhambalov told their peers how nicotine affects the body, why vapes are not harmless at all, and what consequences bad habits can cause at a young age. Medical volunteers offered the children to count how much money literally "goes up in smoke". And this is what happened: a month without cigarettes = food for 22 stray cats, six months = new headphones or a wireless speaker, a year = a new phone or tablet Sometimes giving up a bad habit is not about restrictions. This is about health, freedom of choice and opportunities that appear in return.![]()
