📚Dahl's "Living Word" is for future doctors Doctor, lexicographer, writer, ethnographer - and this is all about him, the great Dahl. In honor of the 225th anniversary of his birth, a thematic week "Living Word" was held. First-year students of the Faculty of Medicine, studying the discipline "Russian Language and Culture of Speech", thanks to the staff of the Department of Humanities with a course of pedagogy and psychology of higher education, were able to immerse themselves in a whole series of exciting events that helped to take a fresh look at the richness of the Russian language and the legacy of an outstanding scientist. The program was opened by the wall newspaper competition "The World of Vladimir Dahl". Future doctors showed considerable imagination: a total of 29 creative works were created dedicated to the life and work of the lexicographer. The jury determined the winners in three categories. The illustration competition "Revive Phraseology" turned out to be no less bright. With the help of neural networks, students created as many as 250 images inspired by idioms, proverbs and sayings about health and medicine. Among the most successful works are illustrations for the expressions "From a sore head to a healthy one", "Night blindness", "Carotid dance", "Bear disease", "Life by a thread" and "Keep your head cold, your stomach hungry, and your feet warm". The cycle of events ended with an intellectual quiz "About the great and mighty...". The competition consisted of four stages, each with eight questions. The game aroused keen interest among student groups, the guys responded with excitement and inspiration. 📝💥

"I am pleased with the high level of activity and quality of students' work and the fact that Dahl's legacy, the depth of the Russian language continue to inspire new generations, including future doctors," said Elena Moskalyova, a member of the jury, head of the scientific library of the Chelyabinsk State Medical Academy.
