As we reported, within the framework of strengthening international cooperation and exchange of experience, the delegation of Qiqihar State University came on a friendly visit to Chuvash State Medical Academy.
Yesterday, on June 3, the concert "Rhythms of Friendship" was held, and this morning began with a lecture on the experience of Chinese specialists in the field of medical rehabilitation. During the lecture, the principles of diagnostics in traditional Chinese medicine were highlighted: the role of non-drug methods in restoring body functions; integration of traditional Chinese practices into modern medical rehabilitation.
During the workshop "Acupuncture, Cupping Massage and Floating Needle (Floating Needle Method)", students of our academy got acquainted with the key techniques of these methods.
Hu Bin, Head of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Qiqihar State Medical University, demonstrated the main groups of points and their purpose; the technique of placing needles in compliance with the rules of asepsis and other professional subtleties.
They also talked about cupping massage (vacuum therapy) and the floating needle method - Floating needles. This is an innovative technique that combines acupuncture with a gentle mechanical impact. As Professor Hu Bin explained, its peculiarity is that the needle is fixed on the skin without deep insertion and remains for several hours or days. Advantages: minimal invasiveness, long-term exposure, the possibility of self-control by the patient.
- The idea that one needle can work for several days seems ingenious for rehabilitation. This is not just exotic, but real tools that can be used in practice, - Vladislav Voronov, a student of the Faculty of Pediatrics, shared his impressions. - After the lecture and workshop, it became clearer why these methods have been working for centuries, the philosophy of Chinese medicine has become clearer, closer.
