At the Chita State Medical Academy, the career guidance project "School of Young Doctor" continues its work. Another lesson was held this week. For students of the 7th grade, the lesson was a real immersion in the world of diagnostics. Professor of the Department of Normal Physiology named after B. I. Kuznik, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Alexey Vladimirovich Solpov told the children about the structure and functions of the formed elements of blood. After that, the children visited the modern laboratory of physiology and pathology of hemostasis.

But, the theory quickly turned into practice! Volunteers of the "Heart of Surgery" squad showed schoolchildren how to properly stop various types of bleeding. The children learned to apply tourniquets, pressure bandages and mastered the basic principles of assistance in such situations. This is the most important skill that can be useful in life for everyone.

Each lesson at the School of Young Physicians is not just an excursion into medicine, but an important step towards a conscious understanding of the profession of a doctor. We see the interested eyes of the children, their genuine interest and desire to learn new things. Our main goal is to ignite a spark that may turn into a real medical vocation in the future!
