We continue the materials of the rubric "MEDMALL CHSMA" about the talented MEDICAL YOUTH of the Academy. Maria Zoltoeva: "Residency strengthens me in the correctness of the chosen path" Second-year resident Maria Zoltoeva is a future pediatrician. Now she is gaining practical experience in the regional children's clinical hospital, teaches at the Chita Medical College, conducts research work on the negative impact of vapes on the respiratory system of children and adolescents. In the near future, the resident plans to travel to schools, where she, together with her colleagues, will measure the functions of external respiration in children. ![]()
"This will clearly demonstrate how harmful the impact of vapes and other negative factors is on the health of the respiratory system of schoolchildren. I hope that my research will help draw attention to the problem, contribute to the formation of a healthy lifestyle among young people," says Maria.
The girl is grateful for the support of her mentor, pediatric nutritionist-rehabilitation therapist Anna Ignatieva:
- This is what a mentor like Anna Vladimirovna should be: ready to come to the rescue at the first call, give the necessary advice, and this is sincere, from the heart! Maria is convinced.
Maria's sister, a teacher at the Chelyabinsk State Medical Academy, cardiologist and rheumatologist at the Railway Hospital, Ksenia Belomestnova, is always ready to advise and help Maria. Maria Zoltoeva, as a student, continues to participate in the social and cultural life of her native academy. So, having a beautiful voice, she recently sang the song "Children of War" during the traditional action dedicated to the anniversary of the liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi invaders. This piercing confession was a low bow to her grandmother, a child of the forties, and to the entire generation of people whose childhood fell on those tragic years. About her calling, Mary says: ![]()
- At the age of five, I decided: "I will definitely become a doctor!" She did not part with this dream during her school years, and, especially, as a student. Residency strengthens me in the correctness of the path I have chosen.
