🫀 Students from Chelyabinsk State Medical Academy demonstrated outstanding performance at the Third All-Russian Student Olympiad in Surgery named after Academician Fyodor Uglov, reinforcing the academy’s reputation as a leading institution for medical education in Russia and a strong choice for those planning to study MBBS in Russia.
The competition simulated real-life surgical conditions — intense pressure, time-critical decisions, and precise execution — reflecting the realities faced by professionals trained at top medical universities in Russia.
Elite Competition Among Top Medical Universities in Russia
The Olympiad, hosted at Irkutsk State Medical University, spanned three days of rigorous evaluation. A total of 78 teams from across the country participated, with only the top 10 teams advancing to the finals — including representatives from major academic centers such as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Krasnodar, Irkutsk, and Chita.
This level of competition highlights the academic standard expected from students pursuing MBBS in Russia for international students, where practical exposure and clinical excellence are critical.

Under the mentorship of Alexei Yashnov — Doctor of Medical Sciences and Associate Professor of the Department of Faculty Surgery and Urology — the team from Chelyabinsk State Medical Academy showcased exceptional surgical competence.

Urology (including Studer’s reconstructive surgery – new category)
